Eligibility Criteria for UPSC Central Armed Police Forces (Assistant Commandants) Examination 2022.

Educational qualifications and Age Limits for UPSC CAPF (Assistant Commandants) Recruitment 2022 are below.

Both Male and Female candidates are eligible for appointment to the post of Assistant Commandants.

Educational Qualifications

  • Passed a 10+2 or equivalent exam from a recognized board.
  • A candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree.

Age Limit (As of 1st August 2022)

The candidate must have been born not earlier than 2nd August 1997 and not later than 1st August 2002.

  • Minimum Age – 20 Years
  • Maximum Age – 25 Years

Age Relaxation SC / ST / Female for 5 Years

Selection Process

The Competitive Examination for recruitment to the posts of Central Armed Police Forces (Assistant Commandants) will be conducted in the following successive stages :

  • Written Examination (Objective Type)
  • Physical Standard Test,
  • Personality Test or Interview.

Final Selection / Merit: The merit list will be drawn on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in the Written Examination and Interview/Personality Test.

If on verification at any time before or after the Written Examination, Physical and Medical Standards Tests, Physical Efficiency Test (PET), and Interview/ Personality Test, it is found that they do not fulfill any of the eligibility conditions, their candidature for the examination will be canceled by the Commission.

Exam Patterns and Syllabus – UPSC CAPF (AC)

The Exam Patterns & Syllabus of the Central Armed Police Forces (Assistant Commandants) Examination will be as follows:

The written examination to be conducted by Union Public Service Commission will be held on 07th August 2022 and will comprise two papers.

  • Paper- I will be held from 10 a.m. to 12.00 Noon
  • Paper-II will be held from 2.00 p.m. to 5.00 p.m.

The Interview

There will be minimum qualifying marks separately in each Paper as may be fixed by the
Commission in their discretion. Paper-I will be evaluated first and evaluation of Paper-II will be done only for those candidates who obtain the minimum qualifying marks in Paper-I.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR FILLING UP OMR SHEETS:
  1. For both writing and marking answers in the OMR Sheets (Answer Sheet) candidates must use a black ballpoint pen only. Pens with any other colors are prohibited. Do not use Pencil or Ink pen.
  2. Candidates should note that any omission/mistake/ discrepancy in encoding/filling in details in the OMR answer sheet; especially with regard to Roll Number and Test Booklet Series Code, will render the answer sheet liable for rejection.

Physical Standards

UPSC CAPF (AC) Recruitment 2022: Candidates who are declared qualified in the written examination will be summoned for Physical Standards/Physical Efficiency Tests and Medical Standards Tests.

Mobile Phones /other articles Banned:

(a) The use of any mobile phone (even in switched off mode), pager or any electronic equipment or programmable device or storage media like pen drive, smartwatches, etc. or camera or blue tooth devices or any other equipment or related accessories either in working or switched off mode capable of being used as a communication device during the examination is strictly prohibited. Any infringement of these instructions shall entail disciplinary action including a ban from future examinations.

(b) Candidates are advised in their own interest not to bring any of the banned items including mobile phones or any valuable/costly items to the venue of the examination, as an arrangement for safe-keeping cannot be assured. Commission will not be responsible for any loss in this regard.

Service Allocation – UPSC CAPF (AC) Recruitment 2022

Service Allocation will be made on the basis of position in the Merit List and the Service Preferences, which will have to be indicated by the candidates at the time of filling up the Detailed Application Form before the Physical and Medical Standards Tests and the Physical Efficiency Tests. Both Male and Female candidates are eligible for appointment to the post of Assistant Commandant.

UPSC CAPF (AC) Salary in 2023 is INR 50,000.
