Eligibility Criteria for JKPSC Combined Competitive Examination, 2022

Educational qualifications and Age Limits for JKPSC Combined Competitive Examination, KPSC CCE 2022):
Candidate must be a domicile of UT

Educational Qualifications

  • Passed a 10+2 or equivalent exam from a recognized board.
  • A candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree.

Age Limit (As of 1st January 2022)

  • Minimum Age – 18 Years
  • Maximum Age – 32 Years

Age Relaxation SC / ST / Female for 5 Years

Selection Process

The Competitive Examination for recruitment to the posts of J&K Administrative Service will be conducted in the following successive stages :

  • Preliminary Examination (Objective Type)
  • Main Examination
  • Personality Test or Interview.

Some Easy Steps to Apply Online

  1. Go to the official website (@jkpsc.nic.in)
  2. Read the Carefully Instructions
  3. Registration & Login with Email Id & Password
  4. Fill the Form with Basic Information & Upload the Required Documents.
  5. Pay the Applications Fee,
  6. Click on Final Summit & take the Print.

After successful payment of the fee, the fee status will get reflected on the Online Application form. Candidates can check the fee status by clicking on the Print Application Button in the submitted Applications menu in your JKPSC account. In case the payment status shows either ” not submitted or under processing or status has not been reflected on your submitted application form.

The candidate would be able to get the printout of his / her submitted application only after the payment of the requisite fee and uploading of requisite documents viz Date of Birth Certificate, Degree Certificate, Category Certificate, and Domicile Certificate.

Admit Cards will be available for download about two weeks before the date of examination on the official website of the Commission @jkpsc.nic.in. The candidate must bring the printout of the Admit Card / Roll Number Slip to the Examination Hall.

Scheme and Syllabus

The Scheme and Syllabus for the Preliminary / Main Examination are available on the official website of the Commission i.e. www.jkpsc.nic.in.

Number of Attempts :

Every candidate appearing in the examination, who is otherwise eligible, shall be permitted six attempts at the examination:

Provided that this restriction on the number of attempts will not apply in the case of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes candidates who are otherwise eligible; Provided further that the number of attempts permissible to candidates belonging to RBA, Social Castes & LAC / IB, who are otherwise eligible, shall be nine.

The relaxation will be available to the candidates who are eligible to avail of reservations applicable to such candidates. Provided also that a physically challenged candidate will get as many attempts as are available to other non – physically challenged candidates of his or her community, subject to the condition that a physically challenged.

JKPSC CCE Exam Patterns & Schemes

JKPSC Combined Competitive Examination, 2022 Exam patterns.

Scheme of  Examination: The Scheme of Examination shall comprise the following successive stages:

  1. Combined Competitive (Preliminary) Examination (Objective Type) for the selection of candidates for Main Examination,
  2. Combined Competitive (Main) Examination (Written and Interview) for the selection of candidates for the various services and posts, and
  3. Personality Test (Interview)

Preliminary Examination

The Preliminary Examination will consist of two papers.

  1. General Studies – I
  2. General Studies – II

of Objective type ( MCQ ) and carry a maximum of 200 marks each. The marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination shall count only for shortlisting of the candidates for the Main examination.

Mains Examination

The Main Examination shall consist of a written examination and a Personality Test (Interview).

The written examination will consist of eight ( 8 ) papers of conventional essay type in the papers set out in part (B).

Every candidate appearing in the examination, who is otherwise eligible, shall be permitted six (6) attempts at the examination.

The Preliminary ( CC Examination) will be held at Srinagar, Anantnag, Baramulla, Jammu, Doda & Rajouri for which a candidate ( s ) shall exercise an option.
