How to join as an officer or crew 2023
For officers: You can choose between deck/engine.
For Deck: You will receive a Pre-Marine Diploma in Nautical Science (one-year course) or BSc in Marine Science (3-year course).
After your pre-sea course, you will need to spend a minimum day (12 months) onboard a ship for onboard training as a calling cadet, after completion you will be able to apply for the 2nd exam, which will take one year to complete.
For the engine: You have B.E. Post Graduate Diploma in Marine Engineering (4 + 1 years) after Marine Engineering (4 years) or BA (Mechanical Engineering) After both courses, you will need to spend at least 6 months onboard training on board as a trainee marine engineer and then apply for the fourth-grade exam and after clearing you will be a marine engineer.
For the crew: You can join a general-purpose rating course for both deck and engine parties or cater to CCMC. Join as Cook, both for a period of 6 months. You can then join any ship directly.
