What is CUET?
Common University Entrance Test (CUET) conducted by NTA for admissions to 45 central universities in India for UG courses. 12th Pass Students can apply for this Exam.
CUET will provide a single-window opportunity for students to seek admission to any of the Central Universities (CUs) across the country.

CUET is to be conducted twice a year from next year, CUET exam will become a two-time opportunity for students wanting to write the exam for UG admissions to Central and other Universities of the country. the exam will still be based on the class 12 syllabus.

Eligibility Criteria — CUET (UG) – 2023

Educational Qualifications and Age Limits for CUET – 2023, For appearing in the CUET (UG) – 2023, there is no age limit for the candidates. The candidates who have passed the class 12th /equivalent examination or are appearing in 2023 irrespective of their age can appear in CUET (UG) – 2023 examination.

Examination Structure for CUET (UG) – 2023

The Competitive Examination for Recruitment to the posts of CUET (UG) – 2023 will be conducted in the following successive stages: Candidates will be required to attempt three sections while appearing for the CUET 2023 Exams.

CUET (UG) – 2023 will consist of the following 4 Sections:

  1. Section IA – 13 Languages
  2. Section IB – 19 Languages
  3. Section II – 27 Domain-specific Subjects
  4. Section III – General Test

Some Important Point

The CUET full form is the Common University Entrance Test. The exam as being a common and centralized window for UG admissions for 250+ universities.

  • A Candidate can choose a maximum of any 3 languages from Section IA and Section IB taken together.
  • Section II offers 27 Subjects, out of which a candidate may choose a maximum of 6 Subjects.
  • Section III comprises General Test.
  • For choosing Languages (up to 3) from Section IA and IB and a maximum of 6 Subjects from Section II and General Test under Section III, the Candidate must refer to the requirements of his/her intended University

Level of questions for CUET (UG) -2023:

All questions in various testing areas will be benchmarked at the level of Class XII only. Students having studied the Class XII Board syllabus would be able to do well in CUET (UG) – 2023.

The number of attempts:

If any University permits students of previous years of class XII to take admission in the current year also, such students would also be eligible to appear in CUET (UG) – 2023.

e-Admit Card – Download

The e-Admit Card would be issued provisionally to the candidates through the NTA website:, subject to the fulfillment of the eligibility conditions and receipt of the prescribed application fee by NTA.

The candidate has to download the Admit Card from the NTA website. The candidate will appear in the examination at the given Centre on the date and shift/timing as indicated in his/her e-Admit Card. in the merit list, medical fitness, verification of original documents, and other criteria
as may be prescribed by the University, to the candidate applying.

The scores/result of CUET (UG) – 2023 may be utilized by other organizations as per their
eligibility criteria/norms/applicable regulations/guidelines/rules.

Evaluation of multiple-choice questions of all the Tests/Subjects will be carried out using final answer keys and the raw (actual) marks obtained by a candidate will be considered further for computation of the result of CUET (UG) – 2023.

For multi-shift papers, raw (actual) marks obtained by the candidates in different shifts/sessions will be converted to NTA Score.
